Child Custody, Visitation, and Support

Once a party submits a Petition or Motion to Amend an Order regarding child custody, visitation, and child support, Virginia law prescribes that the “best interests of the Child” will determine custodial and financial arrangements.

In addition, by statute, Virginia sets formulas for calculating child support obligations.

Whether you hope for an agreement with another party regarding custody, visitation, and support of a child or whether you seek to present evidence before a Judge in a formal hearing, I will draft these documents or aggressively represent your interests on behalf of your child/children through the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court and Circuit Court.

Successful domestic litigation requires detailed evidence review, witness preparation, and a joint commitment to trial strategy.  I bring this approach to every case in courts throughout south-central Virginia and I will for you as well.
